Buying guide
How much capacity do you need?
A rough estimate: add the watts of everything you'll run, multiply by the hours, then divide by about 0.85 for inverter losses. Example: a 150 W average fridge for 8 hours is 150 × 8 ÷ 0.85 ≈ 1,410 Wh. Check your appliance labels; real draw varies.
Continuous vs. surge watts
Motors (fridges, pumps, power tools) draw a short startup surge. Make sure the station's continuous rating covers the running load and its surge rating covers the startup.
LiFePO4 chemistry
All four use lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) cells, which makers rate for thousands of charge cycles. Check each maker's cycle rating and warranty terms.
Home backup safety
Never back-feed a home circuit without a proper transfer switch or interlock installed by a licensed electrician. Some makers sell their own transfer kits.

FAQ
Can a power station run a refrigerator?
Many 1–2 kWh models can run a typical household fridge for hours. Runtime depends on your fridge's actual draw and its startup surge, so check the label and the station's surge rating.
Is a power station better than a gas generator?
They're quiet and safe to use indoors because there are no fumes, but they store far less energy than a generator makes from a tank of fuel. Many households use both.
Do power stations qualify for tax credits?
Tax rules change. Ask a tax professional or check IRS guidance; we can't give tax advice.
